The Rustic Rose Barn was a fantastic venue for our wedding ceremony and reception! Susan and her staff were amazing and very helpful throughout the planning process and during our special day! We felt very welcomed and genuinely cared for throughout the whole process. The barn is gorgeous and rich with history. While we were wedding planning we discovered that the antique carousel in Story City was renovated in the barn in 1900, and we reserved the carousel for a private photo shoot and ride during our wedding party photos! We loved the historical tie to our wedding space. The venue is absolutely gorgeous with the large chandelier in the center of the dance floor and the string lights and drapery wrapped around the old wood beams. It’s classically elegant with the perfect touch of rustic. There was plenty of decor to borrow from the wedding but we also liked that we could bring in our own touches. The getting ready rooms were a lovely addition and the girls really liked the style of the bridal suite. We really enjoyed the outdoor space for our ceremony, and the pond for sunset photos. The outdoor patio was also a great place for guests to hangout and socialize after dinner! We received so many compliments on our venue selection and the helpful staff.
